What is the difference between CAT6A and CAT7?
CAT6A is mainly used in 10 Gigabit structured cabling system. In the test process, CAT6A can reach 500MHz test, and is divided into unshielded and shielded systems.
Cat. 6A UTP Cable's PVC outer cover is added with plastic rods or made into a sawtooth shape to improve the external crosstalk test index. The Cat. 6A STP Cable uses a pair of shielding structure to improve product performance, but because Cat. 6A STP Cable does not require alien crosstalk. Therefore, Cat. 6A UTP Cable has more advantages in terms of installation operation and price.
Compared to CAT6A, more changes in CAT7 are in connectors. CAT6A is still the traditional RJ45, while CAT7 is currently recognized as a non-RJ45 structure. As for the cable structure, CAT7 adopts a double-shielded structure with a pair of shielding plus a braided mesh. In the production process, CAT7 changed the production process of the insulating sheath.
